Our Grooming Team is highly trained by some of the best groomers in the country, so you can guarantee your pup is in the best hands. Our salon is fully equipped with top of the range equipment and top quality shampoos. We offer a relaxed environment and grooming with kindness and care.
Regular sessions at the salon are hugely beneficial to all breeds. (Not just those that need regular haircuts)
We know it can be confusing knowing what your dog's grooming requirements are, so we are happy to offer you a free consultation where we can recommend a grooming schedule for your dog to keep their coat in perfect condition. Even amongst dogs of the same breed or cross breed, we see such a range of coat types, that each dog should be treated as an individual with their own bespoke schedule.

Grooming Options
We can provide you with options where you visit regularly and we do it all for you and you never have to worry about your dog's coat care, or where we teach you how to maintain your dog's coat at home so you can go longer between salon visits.
If your dog needs haircuts or hand stripping:
Book a FULL GROOM.
We can provide you with a Breed Standard Groom (Think Crufts) or a Pet Style Groom (Think practical and cute/ Teddy Style/ Any style you like) We would love for you to bring in photos of styles you like and we can advise if they would be possible on your dog. If you ever aren't happy with a style- please just contact us and we can get your dog back in to make amendments and/or feedback to us for next time. (eg: Longer on the legs, shorter on the tail, shorter on the beard etc)
Sometimes it takes a couple of different styles till you figure out how you want your dog's coat to be and we would love to work with you to discover this. We never would want you to be unhappy with a groom and not mention it- we are determined to work with you, take feedback, offer you advice and find something that works for both you, your lifestyle and your dog.
If your dog sheds all over your house and/or smells like a dog:
Book a FULL GROOM
We can offer you a de-shedding bath blast and full shedding brush out and trimming round the legs/feet/bum/genital areas if required. You would be surprised how much hair we can get out in a proper session of de-shedding both in the bathing and blasting and in the extensive undercoat brush out and your dog will smell lush and feel great.

In-between grooms just a little tidy up - eg, scissor around the eyes, feet, legs, bum, penis. (No bath/blowdry/full hair cut of the body in this one)

(Suitable for any poodle or bichon cross breeds and also silken coat breeds to avoid matting in between Grooms)
De-shedding Brush Out
(Suitable for German Shepherds, Collies, Huskies, Malamutes, Labradors, Jack Russells, Staffies etc or mixed breeds with similar coat types- Any dog that leaves hair all over your favourite clothes! We have all the tools to brush plenty of hair out of your dog.
Additional Extras
These services are not included when you book a groom but can easily be added on if you want to pamper your dog - just mention on booking. They can also be done on their own as a separate service to a Groom if required.
Blueberry Facial
Face massage and face trim(if required) This service is amazing for helping with tear staining on light coloured coats and making white coats brighter but also is great for refreshing faces and ears on coats of any colour and type. It also provides a relaxing gentle massage experience that dogs love!
Ultimate Paw Treatment
Mositurising, relaxing and revitalising paw pad massage and treatment with special luxury softening paw treatment. This is relaxing for the dogs and gets them used to having their paws handled. We also trim the hair between the paw pads as part of this service.
Teeth Cleaning
We have an EmmiPet ultrasonic toothbrush that can make real progress on serious plaque with regular sessions!
Puppy Grooms - First Puppy Groom Special Offer
The absolute best thing you can do for your new puppy is get them used to being groomed from a young age to encourage positive associations and avoid behavioural problems with grooming as they grow up.
This is particularly important if you have a breed that will require regular grooming throughout their life. If you take them to a good groomer as a puppy, the groomer should spend the time training them to stand on the table and get used to all the equipment.
We recommend first puppy grooms to be done as soon as possible after the pups vaccinations are complete, but we have a Puppy Groom Special Offer that we recommend you take advantage of regularly up to 6-8 months dependent on breed.
Here at Ruffles, we spend extra time with the puppies to give them a great first experience and get them used to the bath, drier, clippers, scissors and brushes, even if we won't be taking much or any hair off at this stage. (The choice is yours on if you want to keep them fluffy or get a bit of a trim.)
During a Puppy groom your pup will be bathed and dried. Their paws and nails will be trimmed and tidied up if required. Any other trimming you want can be done e.g. hygiene trim and around the eyes. Everything will be introduced slowly and lots of positive reinforcement given to give your puppy the best first experience possible!
After their first puppy groom we recommend the pup comes for their next puppy groom within the next 4 weeks, to continue their training and maintain their positive associations with grooming.

Pricing
Prices are below but may vary depending on the condition of your dog's coat.
Dogs will only be accepted for grooming on regular schedules as recommended by our groomers. If their advised schedule is exceeded and their coat is matted, an extra charge will be payable for the extra time taken, their coat will need to be clipped off and in future they would only be accepted for grooming on a regular schedule as advised so we can avoid the same thing happening again. Removing a matted coat is painful and stressful for the dog so we do everything we can to avoid this. Please do contact us for a free coat consultation so we can assess your dog and advise if they are likely to be at risk of matting and what you can do at home to prevent this if you don't want to take on regular trips to the salon. We are very happy to educate you and train you up so you can do coat maintenance at home if you want to or alternatively just get your dog in with us for regular grooms (and potentially further comb outs between grooms if recommended) and we can make sure your dog never becomes matted.
